Ethical Sourcing Policy Code of Practice

Kartel’s clothes are designed inhouse at our head office in Dublin but our team source them from countries worldwide. We recognise our responsibility to work closely with our suppliers to ensure that our products are made in accordance with all relevant local and national laws and legislation, in a clean and safe environment, and that all employees involved in producing them are treated with respect.

Kartel expects its suppliers, and their sub-contractors, to observe best practice and continuing improvement in the guidelines and recommendations set out by the International Labour Organisation (ILO). Our Ethical Sourcing Policy is the set of ethical trading standards that we implement across our business and applies to the sourcing of all of our products. The Code sets out the minimum standards we expect our suppliers to comply with in relation to workers’ rights and conditions of work, including working hours, minimum age of employment, health, safety, welfare and environmental impacts.
